Well, we are doing it. We quit our jobs and are going to tour these United States!
After looking for our ideal vehicle in Anchorage with no luck, we flew to Seattle yesterday to pick up our new conversion van. It's a 2006 Pleasure-way Traverse, which is basically a Ford van complete with a fridge, sink, microwave oven, and a back seat that converts into a bed, and the pop-up bunk bed. Tyler and Joe love it and it is perfect for our family.
We spent our 1st night in a Marysville, WA Walmart parking lot! We picked up some supplies and all got haircuts at the Walmart (of course).

this is so freakin' awsome. you guys are my heroes! i'm so psyched that you are making the time to do this fantastic trip. i can't wait to check your blog everyday to see where you are and what you're doing!!!! i so wish i was a stowaway in your van. keep taking lots of pictures and have a safe, fun time!!!
